Chandon

Red Wine Winery, Agrelo Lujan Mendoza

This shed for the red wine elaboration is part of the architecture master plan of Chandon Winery.

For this building was elected an industrialized construction system, which incluyes precast
concrete pieces (columns, beams and panels) with architectural treatment to enable
compliance with a short construction program allowing the winery operation´s for the 2007
harvest.

Buildings for offices. Agrelo. Luján. Mendoza.

This project as part of the master plan of architecture, proposes an addition and a refurbish of the
administration offices , using a new architectural style, to harmonize with the new buildings and interventions
proposed in the plan.

Visitor Center
This Visitor Center was projected to give more importance to the visitors at Bodega Chandon and to reflect
the institutional image. The Architecture linking the interior spaces with the landscape by the using of transparence and simple spaces.
The access level is 1.5m high. from the ground level to improve the views over the vineyards and mountains,
this level holds a reception room ,informal tastings and sales on one side and on the other a multi-purpose room.
On the east face both sides holds their service area, and are linked by a central courtyard and galleries,
from the courtyard can be accessed by outside stairs to terraces to take advantage of the best mountain views.
The half buried basement holds the main tasting room, in ceremonial way is also accessible from the courtyard.

Master Plan
In 2006 Chandon organized an architectural competition to reorganize the winery located in Mendoza through a
master plan .
The institutional requirements were to update the winery image in relation with its brand strategy. With a
long-term vision, develop a medium term plan, taking into account the vertiginous development of the wine
industry and its own growth plan.

Cheval de los Andes
“Loft Winery” in Terrazas de los Andes Winery. Perdriel, Luján , Mendoza
The idea for this project is to recycle an existing building, the new use will be the elaboration of limited
production wines . The elaboration process is by gravity using the shed which formerly was used to produce
brandy.
The architectural design proposes to put in value the original building and the interaction with new elements
incorporated with a contemporary expression.

“Quincho” Tasting room. Finca Vistalba. Lujan. Mendoza
In contrast with vineyards, olive trees and poplar trees, with the best views of the Andes mountains,
is a comfortable and receptive space for tastings and meals.

The design of the brand Cheval des Andes inspired the design for the access doors.

Stable
In Cheval des Andes to complement the visitor activities was refurbished the antique house
formerly used by the in charge of the vineyards to host there the stables for polo horses.

Terrazas

Bodega Tributo
Master Plan
This is a proposal to organize the tourist reception and for the occasional VIP visits and events.
The project considered the valoration of the historic Cavagnaro Winery from 1912 closely linked to
the train movement.
The intervention prioritizes the conection from the new architecture with the original values.
In the tour the visitor revives the operation of the winery from the early twentieth century ,
contemplating their architectural in a renewed synthesis train, wine and biodynamic.

Tourist reception
The contemporary architectural language of this small building contrast with an historic facade.
Pure lines, simple construction and generous transparencies allows the visitors in the tour beggining
to have a quick perception of all the facilities and patrimonial buildings.
The history of the winery and its current role is explained in a projection room.

Room of Prestige
This wine cellar for the premium wines produced by Trapiche Winery is located in the heart of the winery
basement, where concrete pools historically were used to store the wine.
The ceremonial character of this place has been defined with an austere design and the use of nobel
materials like stone, wood and metals and giving particular valoration to the lighting effects.

BUILDINGS

Diplomatic Hotel, Belgrano & Emilio Civit, Mendoza

The proposal conceives the design of a significant building, innovative and highly expressive in the urban
context of Mendoza´s city .
The east and west elevations in the original design had been defined as a bioclimatic role, through a system of
double ventilated skin . The aesthetic language was designed with great dynamism with reflections, shadows and
transparencies that will introduce the central curved plane which provides a variety of alternatives during the day
by the solar incidence, and during the night by the effects of artificial lights and colors.
The five-star Hotel owns 160 units between standard rooms, suites and presidential Suite.

Parish Nursery, Chacras de Coria

As part of a church with historic patrimonial value, this project must follow the morphology and existing style.
The activities of the nursery have life and privacy around a courtyard.

Soppelsa ice-cream shop

The prestigious ice cream factory Ferruccio Soppelsa was interested in create a new factory with sales point
being a urban reference for the area.
The project combines a contrast of strong and solid shapes, externally the elaboration area is defined with different
concrete typologies, and the building corner, bright and transparent with an atractive interior design defines
the sales area.

SPACES PUBLIC

Gral. Espejo Square Chacras de Coria, Mendoza.

To the revalorization of this significant area of the community of “Chacras de Coria”,
was considered to recovery and preserve the areas and its significative elements in morphological
conception as in the social activities.

URBANIZATIONS

Cerro Alto

The constant growing of private communities generates a separation in the city layout,
the urbanisation proposed mitigates those impacts.

La Delia

This private community is located in the heart of Chacras of Coria, this residential area is particular
for its scale and dominance of green space and is located about 15km from the city of Mendoza.
The urbanisation maintained an adequate adaptation to the area, in the layout, the street treatments,
sidewalks, ditches,green spaces and its architecture.

Vistalba Country

The streets layout prioritize the views in this community with diverse topography and landscape.
The human scale and the relationship between building areas with green areas were a priority too.

Viñas del cielo

Wine country Master plan.
It is a urbanization of vineyards plots at the mountain foot, with a winery, polo field, lagunes,
an inn and a artisans village.
